Our Story!

Azure Pools was founded by Steve Underwood out of his passion for pools, and his love of the Sanford, North Carolina area. When a larger Raleigh based pool contractor abandoned their Sanford location, Steve saw that the pool contracting & pool supply needs of the Sanford area were no longer being met. With his extensive experience in the pool industry, Steve felt a strong desire and obligation to serve the local community and decided to open Azure Pools in 2001.

Every business is a reflection of it's owner, and Steve understood this tenant from the very beginning. He knew that in order for Azure Pools to succeed, it would have to provide excellent customer care, dependable service, and unmatched professionalism. Steve poured his own kindness, attention to detail, work ethic, and love for the Sanford, NC area into Azure Pools. From the ground up Steve has built Azure Pools to do one thing - To provide our clients and customers with the BEST pool contractor & pool supply service available - period.   

After 21 years, 3400+ pool installations, 1800+ liner replacements, and tens of thousands of water tests Azure Pools continues to serve the Sanford, NC area with the same love, dedication and commitment to providing our clients & customers with the ideal customer experience that our founder envisioned from the very beginning.
